POWER PLANT OPERATOR

Bryan Municipal Utilities is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Power Plant Operator to join our team.  The duties of a power plant operator include monitoring and adjusting equipment, conducting regular maintenance and inspections, troubleshooting problems, and keeping accurate records associated with operating gas, diesel, and water turbines for generation. The ideal candidate will have mechanical abilities with knowledge of mechanical systems, and a commitment to safety. Will be required to successfully complete Northwest Lineman College Substation Certification Program.

Customer Service Representative

Bryan Municipal Utilities is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team! In this role, you will provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers while performing field and administrative tasks related to utility services. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently while delivering outstanding customer service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reading electric and water meters accurately
  • Ensuring proper meter functionality
  • Recording meter read-ins and read-outs
  • Checking for low water pressure and potential leaks

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2–4 years of experience in customer service and/or meter reading (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Valid driver’s license

Engineering Assistant

Bryan Municipal Utilities is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Assistant to join our team. As an Engineering Assistant, you will work closely with the engineering team to support various projects and ensure their successful completion. This position is also responsible for preparation of technical reports, plans, specifications, and engineering services during construction for new and existing electric, water, and fiber infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the field of engineering.

Preferred graduate from an accredited college or university with an associate’s degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering or CAD; experience in the use of computers, including Microsoft Office and CAD software; or an inequivalent combination of education and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform essential function of the position.
