Power Plant Operator

Bryan Municipal Utilities seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Power Plant Operator to join our team.  The duties of a power plant operator include monitoring and adjusting equipment, conducting regular maintenance and inspections, troubleshooting problems, and keeping accurate records associated with operating gas, diesel, and water turbines for generation. The ideal candidate will have mechanical abilities, knowledge of mechanical systems, and a commitment to safety. Will be required to complete the Northwest Lineman College Substation Certification Program successfully.

Lineworker IV

Bryan Municipal Utilities is accepting applications for a LINE WORKER. This position is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of overhead and underground electrical power lines and auxiliary equipment.

Candidate must have valid driver’s license, preferably a CDL; ability to climb poles and work from 70 feet; and have a practical knowledge of electric systems. Preferred candidate will have completed an apprenticeship program.
