Our Summer has moved on and we say goodbye to the warm weather and water recreation.
Summer 2018 proved to be a very good year for generation at the Auglaize Plant. We were able to generate during all of the peak energy usage days without adversely effecting river levels. Rain at just the right time allowed us to maintain a good reserve of water behind the flashboards.
Hydroelectric Dam inspections and minor maintenance is slated to begin mid to late November. Beginning November 12th, the river level will be lowered approximately 4 feet over a two week period. At the end of the two week period, the river will be allowed to fill to its normal operating level. The rate of fill will be determined by the amount of rainfall the area receives.
As always, Mother Nature will determine our schedule.
