Townline Road Water Main Project Begins June 21
Bryan, Ohio—Bryan Municipal Utilities’ Townline Road Water Main Replacement Project is scheduled to begin Friday, June 21, at the intersection of High Street and Townline Road.
The Project includes installation of approximately 4,400 feet of 12-inch water main, seven fire hydrants and 30 water service lines within the public right-of-way on Townline Road between High and Center streets.
Project contractor Underground Utilities, Inc. of Monroeville, Ohio, will work in and along Townline Road; as a result the road will be closed to through traffic during construction. However, Underground Utilities will work to keep area residences and emergency services accessible throughout the project. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes during Project work hours.
Work will be performed from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday with Friday serving as a make-up day as needed. Estimated project completion date is September 23, 2019, weather permitting.
Townline Road will be open for those attending Bryan’s Day in the Park event and fireworks at the Bryan Recreation Park on Saturday, June 22.
The Townline Road Water Main Replacement Project replaces an aging six-inch water main, improving water service reliability and increasing firefighting capability in the Project area. The Project also eliminates a hydraulic bottleneck in the 12-inch water transmission loop around the City Bryan.
